+++■ ENTERTAINED BY CONSTITUENTS [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] 'PA HI AT II A. May 8. Tiie district honoured Hon. Hansom last evening at a complimentary social. There was a hip; assemblage of different shades of political 'belief. Speeches were made by li. 1). Grocott (Chairman Arrangements Committee). .Major J. D. AYilson, S. Bolton (Chairman Pahiatua County Council), (!. Harold SmTlh, one time member. also the official lie form candidate at the election, and Hons. Pord'.io 'and Stallworthy. and Colonel McDonald, member for AYairarapa. .Mr Grocott, on behalf of the electors presented Air Ransom with an illuminated address. Hon. Hansom was accorded on ovation and also musical honours. Airs Hansom was pre-son tod by the Alayoress with a crystal bowl. Air Hansom replying, said a great honour 'was done to the constituency as well as himself. The evidences of the goodwill of the community was very encouraging to the Government. Apologies were received from the Pijemier and various Cabinet Afinistors. During the afternoon Hon La Po-ii-cljle visited the racecourse. The Stewards pointed out to him many improvements made, in toe appointments. The .Minister was entertained by the Club, and intimated that he would strongly support the passing of the Gaining Bill. After a dinner at which the Mayor. Countv Chairman. Chairman and Secretary of the Committee. Colonel and Mrs McDonald were also present, the Ministers were entertained hv the Pahiatua County Council at the latter’s new offices.
