NORTHERN U.DINU. TO THE ELECTORS Ladies and Cientlemen: WE have the honour to oiler ourselves again as your representatives on the Westland County. Council. In doing so we would 1 ilce to state brieily that we do so on this occasion with a good deal ol pleasure. t\e h:ive both been connected with County government for several years, and it Is particularly pleasing to report that at the end of the term, the Council has discharged the overdraft and had a ,-re<lit at the hankers, in addition to this we may claim that the roads of the County are generally in very fair order. Roth results have been achieved without adding to the rates, which we hope with another good year it will he possible to reduce. On this occasion a settlor is nominated in opposition. This is due probably to our acton on your behalf in resisting a claim on the Council which was proved through the Court to be without justification, and your funds were saved by our action. Unless your representatives are prepared to act in the interests of the ratepayers, the County funds could he drained quickly and your rates would increase. We might say every advice and consideration was given the settler in his action by the Co unci, hut he went oil blindly to litigation which he lost. Assuring you of our best attention in the requirements of the Riding, and the desire to serve the County as a whole in Hie best interests ol all.—Wo are, ladies and gentlemen. Yours obediently, BERNARD WARD, J. A. MURDOCH.
