At the meeting of the Westland County Council yesterday, the clerk in-1 timated that authority had been received tor an additional grant off €1230 for Little Wanganui river protection. The grant was a free one without au\ subsidy being required from the settlers or Council. The southern members expressed their thanks and satislaction at tin' pleasing announcement. Make the home a merry place this winter. Dancing, singing, and music are yours with an H..M.V. gramophone. Call in and inspect them at Y’arrall’s Music Depot, Revcll Street. —Advt.
