The' Auckland Rugby Union tonight decided that it was in symnathy with the Hawke's Bay Union's protest against playing a trial match on June 3. on account of such fixture interfering with set representative games on that day. The Union also decided to inform Hawke’s Bay that unless the . New Zealand .Union could pi(t forward a sound reason for an early tour to New South AYales the Auckland Union would support the Canterbury Union’s mot ior: that the tour ho posponed for one month. With reference to the New Zealand Union’s proposal that in view of the British team’s tour next season all matches this season and next to he played under international rules.
