To-day Lord Lascolles ami Princess .\iary paid a private visit to the exhibition of half a million sterling worth of gold and silver of fifteenth century ware, which was guarded by an invisible ray. providing a surer protection than the whole forces of Scotland Yard. Lord Lascolles mentioned a valuable cup which was within easy reach. He attempted to touch it hut before reaching it his arm broke through an invisible beam, and loud alarms rang out deafeninglv.
