WEDDING BELLS

A quiet hut pretty wedding was recently celebrated at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, -Westport, the contracting parties being, Nina, filth daughter ol Air and Airs Samuel Johnston, of Alokihiinii Aline, Seddonville, and Dick, youngest son of -Mrs Blyth, of Hector. The Rev. Aliller, M.A., was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by her brother. Air Harry Johnston, of Hoki : tika, wore a frock ol pale pink georgette, trimmed with pearls, her veil was shell pink tulle embroidered in silver and was caught to the head and held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms, silver shoes ' and stockings completing a charming toilette. A beautiful bouquet of Belladona lillies with maidenhair fern was carried. The bride was attended bv her sister, Miss Elsie Johnston, who was attired in a frock of rose pink taffeta with shoes and stockings to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink cosmos and maidenhair fern. Air T. Ratcliffe attended the bridegroom as best man. Pals of the bridegroom formed an archway as the happy couple leit the church. Later a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s sister, Mrs W. lodd. Peel Street, where a large gathering of relatives and friends was entertained. Air and Mrs Douglas later left for Auckland, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride travelled in a frock of saxe blue kepp, trimmed with fawn and hat to tone.
