(To the Editor.)

Sir, —In the election for Mayor which takes place to-morrow there are three candidates. Two of them are live active men showing a keen interest in the election, and rightly so, in their own candidature, and prepared to get on to the platform and address the electors as every candidate should. The other candidate adopts his usual slow don’t-care-how-it-goes attitude and is content to let his candidature drift along, just as he does the town—Wake up electors and select a live man. I am, etc., OBSERVANT RATEPAYER.
