ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

ADDINGTON STOCK SALE

CHRISTCHURCH, April 23. The Addington market was hold :i day earlier this year than usual. Fat Cattle. —There was a small yarding. mostly of hack-country lines. Ihe duality was fair. There was a good 'iTemand, and prices were firm at a slight advance. Rest steers fetched CIA 10s to £2l Ids, heavy £l(s 10s to £lB ds, hardy £1.4. 15s to £l6 ss, medium £ll 10s to £1.2 ss. Heifers and cows sold as follows; Rest £l4 to £lO. prime £8 15s to £lO 10s. medium £7 5s to £8 ss.

Fat Sheep.—-There was a small yarding. Prices were well maintained. Rest wethers sold up to 3i.s lOd. print" 32s (id to 355, medium 20s to 325, light 20s to 28s. Rest ewes sold to 32s 10d. prime 25s 6d to 295, light and aged 10s to 21s (id. Fat Lambs. —There was a very meagre entry, and the (|iuility was not nj) to last week. Prices were well up to the schedule. Rest sold to 33s lOd. prime 29s Od to 32s 6(1. medium 27s to 295. light 2os to 26s fid. Store Sheep and I.a ml).—There was a small yarding. The adult sheep were :i very small entry, mostly of backward wethers. Prices were easier. Rest wethers’ sold from 25s to 28s, others '2os to 245, two-tooth ewes sold to 41 s. West Coast ewes fetched from 32s i«> 3ds. The sale was dull throughout. —Then* was a large entry of pork. Prices were slightly easier, the (jualitv was very mixed.
