REPARATIONS

PARIS, April 23. The Reparations Committee met this morning and issued the following communique:—The Committee received and •ordered to he filed. last week’s subcommittee report stating no agreement was reached regarding figures. The Committee in tho Plenary Session thereupon unanimously decided on the appointment of a sub-committee to lie charged with the work of outlaying the chief points to he embodied in the report. It is anticipated that while this work - is proceeding, efforts of all groups alike will ho continued in order to arrive at agreement on the points upon which accord has not yet been reached.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer OU. lion. W. Churchill) stated in the Commons to-day that the total amount paid to America on account of the British debt to date was £24(1,300,000 and the total amount received by this country from her former Allies in the Great War was £33.700.000.
