ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE,

M. HOUSTON AND CO.’S REPORT

At yesterday’s sale at the above yards our entry consisted of 31 head of fat cattle, 120 fat sheep and 140 breeding ewes, which were submitted to the usual attendance of buyers There was good competition for fat cattle, and prices recorded were in advance of those of the. previous sale. \Ve sold as follows; — On account of W. A. Jamieson GO fat sheep at 20s; on account of T. Staines 60 fat sheep at 31s 6d, 30 ewes at 375, 43 at 355, 67 at 355, 8 fat sheep at 33s 3d; on account of W. F. Diedrich 2 bullocks at £l2 7s fid, 2 heifers at £lO, 2 bullocks at £ls 12s fid, 2 at £l2 7s fid, 2 at £l2 10s; on account of W. A. Jamieson 1 cow at £8 17s fid, 2 bullocks at £l6, 2 heifers at £8 12s fid, 2 cows at £8 15s, 1 at £7 ss, 1 heifer and 1 cow at £7 17s fid, 2 cows at £5, 1 bullock at £l3, 2 at £l2 10s, 2 at £l3 ss, 1 at £l4 2s fid, 1 at £l3 10s; on account of L. Kelly 2 steers at £7 15s, 2 heifers at £7; on account of W. Bond 1 cow at £4. i

W. JEFFRIES AND CO.’S REPORT

Yesterday's fixture at the above yards drew the usual attendance of buyers. Prices continued firm at late rates and a total clearance of beef was made. Messrs AA. Jeffries and Co s entry comprised 40 head of cattle and the following sales were made:— For AV. F. Diedrich 2 bullocks at £l3 ss, 1 at £lO 12s Gd, 2 at £l2 15s 2 at £9 12s Gel. 2 cows at £9 7s 6d. 1 at £5 15s, 1 at £5, 1 heifer at £l2 2s 6d, 2 at £ll ss, 1 at £l3 2s Od, 3 at, £ll 10s, 3 at £l3 10s; for AA T . Bradley 2 cows at £lO ss, 1 at £B, 1 at £7 12s fir; for J. Havill 2 cows at £8 7s Od 2 at £0 2s fid, 1 at £5 10s; privately 70 f.m. breeding ewes at 30s and 12G lambs at 20s.
