MAN SHOOTS WOMAN

VANCOUVER, April 19
A St. Laurent message states that with her large family of children looking on. Mrs P. Richards, was shot dead while trying to prevent the elopement of her daughter, aged IC. J. Desjardines. for whom a posse of police scoured the countryside, when cornered shot a girl companion, and Mrs Richards and her daughter Emma dead. Then he committed suicide.
