RA LMERSTOX N., April 22. While A. Gold (tailor), -Broadway, " ;, s absent irom his shop between 6 .ind Mo o clock on Saturday evening a burglar entered and stole suits and material etc. valued at £35. The door was locked but the lock was forced, the hasp being broken in several pieces.

WOMAN’S BODY FOUND
ASHBURTON, April 22
A body found in the Bnkaia river 15 miles above the railway bridge yesterday, has been identified as Miss Bernice Thompson, aged 2-1. daughter of Joseph Thompson, a farmer of Aft. Somers, who disappeared from her employers residence at Metliven on March 11th.
TWO MOTOR ACCIDENTS
DUNEDIN, April 22
Christopher Mnrr was lmspitalled with serious head injuries through a motor colliding with a telegraph post. Henry Moir, single, aged 32, was also lmspitalled with-head injuries, his car overturning through running off tin* road in a mist on Saddle Mill yesterday.

WELLINGTON, April Ifi. Commenting editorially on a cablegram stating that gubernatorial appointments to Australia and New Zealand have been suspended fill after the British general election, the “Dominion ” says: “The suspension of any change so far as New Zealand is concerned is all to the good, but it is bad news indeed that any change at all is within measurable distance. It is very certain that if it should he possible to persuade His Excellency and Lady Alice Eergusson to extend their stay with us beyond the normal period of office, it would be universally acclaimed bv the people of the Dominion.”
