Princess Elizabeth celebrated her third birthday at Naseby Hall, Northamptonshire, surrounded by presents from the Royal family, for which she asked as soon as she awakened.

Ihe Duke and Duchess of York presented her with a Shetland pony in order that she may take her first riding lessons. The Prince of Wales sent a Cairn terrier puppy.
