BRITISH ELECTIONS

LABOR’S INT ENT lON S

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright).

(Received this day at 10 a.m.) LONDON, April 21

Mr Ramsay MacDonald in a “Daily Herald” article gives the most comprehensive pronouncement yet made. He declares Labour is the only party prepared to deal with unemployment courageously. It has a programme and only needs power. Every party except Labor has failed miserably. Labor will put work before everything, and asked to he given a chance thereon. .It would attack coallields distress, raise the school-leaving age, pension off old hands, relieve pressure, give widows’ pensions, go in for extensive house building and slum clearance. “Labor favours peace and will stand for arbitration, disarmament and support of League of Nations to the utmost.”
