NEW YORK. April 20
News Irani Los Angeles states Sir Rabindranath Tagore left abruptly for Japan, after lie had announced lie would remain at I.os Angeles for six weeks. Tagore said poor health prompted his departure, hut M. it. linker, his United States Secretary, declared United States immigration officers treated him with contempt. That was very trivial, though unpleasant, said Tagore. I do not judge American people by that one incident. Tucker said America had not boon kind to Tagore and he was sick of it.
