“AIN’T LOVE- FUNNY” TO-NIGHT

Most .young women arc satisfied to be engaged to one man, but Alberta Vaughn in her latest F. 8.0. starring vehicle, “Ain’t hove Funny,” plays the part of a girl who is engaged to two hundred and three men at the same time. The story is laid during the World War, and centres about the •patriotic activites of one Helena Brice who is determined to do her bit towards winning the war. Unable to go across in the capacity of a Red Cross nurse, she decides that the next best thing to do is to recruit all the possible men. This she does by becoming engaged to two hundred of them, and when peace is finally declared, Helena finds that she has a private war on hand in which she must battle against the combined forces of her finaiicees. After a whirl of excitement, suspense and uproarious fun, everything is finally settled satisfactorily for the ultimate happiness of the erstwhile patriot. Doris Anderson wrote the adaptation and continuity from the story “War and Helena,” by Kay Clement and Lela Gidlcy. The cast includes Thomas Wells, Charles Mailes, Syd. Crossley, “Babe” London and Johnny Gough, and the picture was made under the direction of Del Andrews.
