Hoot Gibson lias taken to the air. Universal’s famous cowboy hero has fallen for the air craze that is sweeping the country, and in his new picture, he temporarily abandons his horse for a plane. The picture is “ The Flyin’ ■ Cowboy ” wliich has been booked by y the Princess Theatre for to-night. Hoot is thrown from the plane at an altitude of 3,000 feet, find he performs one of the most spectacular parachute jumps ever filmed by a motion picture camera. The cowboy has* become “airminded ” in other ways besides his film production. After flying for thousands of miles in regular passenger planes, he purchased one of his own. Hoot is now learning to pilot his plane under the tutelage of Reginald Denny, who is among the few screen players to possess a pilot’s license. Gibson was asked recently whether he planned to give up his horse and become an “ airplane cowboy.” He denied that he would, but said that he intended becoming as proficient in handling his propellordriven vehicle as he is in-handling his horse. This means that persons living in the vicinity of Hollywood are going to see plenty of dare-devil stunts in the air as Gibson is one of the greatest stunt horsemen in the; world. ;In “The Flyin’ Cowboy” Hoot performs some of the most thrilling riding of his career. The picture is packed with many exciting and comedy incidents, amply satisfying both thrill and laugh seeker. Olive Hasbrouck appears in the feminine lead. Others in the cast are Harry Todd, William Bailey, Buddy Phillips and Ann Carter. Reaves Eason directed.

The last chapter of “ Blake of Scotland Yard ” and a good comedy will also be shown.
