HARDY FIRST EDITION.
A superb copy of the first edition of Thomas Hardy’s “Desperate Remedies realised £1560 at an auction sale of books in Now York. A copy of the first edition of “The Dynasts,” with 1903 title page, brought £2BO. “Desperate Remedies” was Hardv’s first novel. This price is the biggest yet paid for a Hardy first edition.
