NO INQUIRY IN SOUTHERN CROSS

The Air Accidents Investigation Committee, which was created by the Federal Government in 1927 to inquire into reasons for all forced landings, has intimated it does not intend to hold any inquiry regarding the Southern Cross, unless directed to do so by the Federal Government.
TRACES OF WRECKED LUGGER
DARWIN, April .16
George Sunter, who arrived at Darwin in a hauling lugger, reports having seen a spar sticking out of the water near Cape Keith, .Melville Island. He could plainly see a wrecked lugger beneath the water. This is believed to he the Harriett, which left Darwin in charge of Martin Colme, whose wife, family, and one Chinese and three aborigines' were also on hoard.
