AUCKLAND, April 12
The Auckland Headmasters’ Association to-day passed resolutions as follows; —(1) “That whatever form the reorganisation of the present educational system may take, it is in the interest of the children that they should continue from the age of 11 years to Id years in the charge of the experienced teachers, who now are carrying on the primary school work.” (2) “ That the suggested division of the children from the age of 11 years into four groups for the purpose of commencing specialized work in commercial, industrial, agricultural and academic courses is not desirable in the pre-adolescent stages.” (,‘f) “ That the most pressing need at present in our schools is a reduction in the size of many of the classes.”
