TORPEDO BOAT DESTROYERS. When the Canadian Government decided to acquire two new torpedo boat destroyers for their Coastal Defence Forces they received tenders from 15 British and other shipbuilders, and eventually awarded the contract for both ships to John L Thornycrol't and Co.. Ltd., of .Southampton. There is little doubt that their derision to do so was a sequel, to the extremely satisfaetor v completion of 11.M.5. “Amazon,” built by Thorny(.polls in 15)27 for the British Navy.
