WANGANUI, April 11. At the Wanganui Trotting Club’s annual meeting the tote took £8,5781, compared with £7,2401 last year. Wanganui Cup:—(3) Great Delight 1, (11) Haerenga Pai 2, (8) Logan’s Pride 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time 4.37 2-5. Autumn Handicap:—(l) Our Nancy 1, (9) Pumahaka 2, (20) Waitipope 3. Scr: Muriel Thorpe. Blue Pedro, Lady Jewel. Won by six lengths. Time 2.20.
An inquiry was opened into the running of the President’s Handicap, tho stewards expressing dissatisfaction at the display given, but they adjourned the inquiry till Saturday. President’s Handicap.—(3) Lnurier l, Peter Eyre 2, Alton Brook 3. Won by six lengths; eight lengths. Time 4.57 1-5. Fosters Handicap.—(l) Little Guy 1, (2) El Direct 2, (4) Oliver Thorpe 3. Won by three lengths; two lengths. Time 4*57 4-5. Marton Memorial.—(s) Haerenga Pai 1, (3) Logan’s Pride 2, (4) Warsprite 3. Two lengths each way. Time 2.55 4-5.
