SAMOA PROSECUTION
ALLEGED SEDITIOUS M PEL

(Received this day nt. 9.25. a.m.) APIA, April 12.
Police informations were laid to-day against the Samoa “ Guardian ” and AYilliam Tarr (its editor) that with Intention to excite disaffection against the Government of New Zealand and the Government of Samoa, it did publish a seditious libel referring “to Samoan officials who have pillaged tlie ■funds of the Samoan Treasury.” Tin* article was stated to be a reprint of an advertisement in the Auckland “Star” calling a public meeting at Auckland Town Hall, and intimating that the aforesaid resolution would be moved.
