SHIPPING RING

WASHINGTON, April 10
A shipping agreement among the members of the United States and the Australian Conferences has boon approved hy the U.S.A. Shipping Board to-day. By this agreement the participating carriers will meet from time to time and will agree upon uniform freight rates on the traffic from the North Atlantic ports to Australia and New Zealand. Each party is free to increase or decrease its rates upon notice to the other lines.
