The annual meeting of Wanganui Trotting Club opened in fine weather, attendance fair, and track fast. Invitation Handicap.—(2) 1 Mild Derby 1, (1) Lady Author 2, (4) Olive Thorpe 3. Won by two lengths; three lengths. Time 3.36 4-5. Kirkwood Handicap.—(|l) . Bingen Spiers 1, (9) Octachord 2, (2) Bessie Bingen 3. Scratched: Lady Downs, Bing, Peter Eyre. Won by a length and a half; four lengths. Time 3.44 3-5. Eastbrook Handicap:—(3) All Red 1, (2) Bright Light 2, ’(4) r Fliton 3 Scr:’ Jasper, Highland Derby, Lena Chimes, Our Nancy Won by a length. ..Time 3.34.
