At the Royal Drawing Society’s fortieth exhibition at Guildhall, New Zealand artists who secured awards include Nancy Jlohson, Phyllis Oxford, Beatrice Morliug, Kate Saxby. Tlio subjects were mostly plants. Grotta McGuire, of Retnuera, specialised in oils. The judges regard Australian and New Zealand participation as evidences of increased interest in the purpose of the society, which is to encourage tin development of youthful artistry in the Empire.
