Miss Garbp - .created a sensation last year by her' meteoric rise to stardom, and Gilbert is acceded to be the most popular male star on the screen to, day. Their first co-starring picture “ Flesh and the Devil,” was so successful that picturegoers, insisted upon their appearance in another picture. After a serious search amongst available screen material, Tolstoi’s “ Anna Karenina” was chosen as being the most suitable for the brilliant talents of John Gilbert and the fascinating personality of Miss Garbo. “ Anna Karenina ” happily is coming to the Princess Theatre to-night and picturegoers are advised to make certain that they'see this intensely dramatic story of a woman torn between two supreme loves, and the sacrifice she makes for the happiness of others. Under the direction of Edmund Goulding, the new picture has been lavishly produced, and the cast includes George I' awcett, Philippe de Lacey, Brandon Hurst and Emily Fitroy. ______
