NEW YORK, April 4. The “Herald’s” political correspondent understands that a Commission probably will be appointed to deal with the “ I’m Alone ” compensation claims upon which there will he one represen* tative each for Canada and the United States, as provided under Article It of the Liquor Convention Treaty of l-)24 between Britain and the I nited States, which provides that the high contracting parties may appoint representatives. Actually, His Majesty signed the Treaty I'm Britain with the United States, on behalf of the who»e Umpire, because it was done before the fO'jfi Imperial C otvference; but it understood that it will be arranged that Canada will appoint her own representative. Britain merely exercising a watching brief.
