LABOUR. CONFERENCE. (~lian Press Association) SYDNEY, April 2. The Australian Labour Party elected J. J. Graves as President, and also decided that Union officials and Labour Parliamentarians he levied half per cent of their salaries for party funds. PRISONER RECAPTURED. ITOil ART, April 2. The prisoner Downs who escaped from gaol on Thursday was recaptured after spending Friday and Saturday in the prison workshop without food oi drink. He said he wished to see his children.
