N.S.W. COAL CRISIS

STARVATION ON THE FIELDS

(Australian Press Association)

SYDNEY, March 27. The coal crisis has reached an interesting stage.

The Federal Prime (Minister Mr Bruce, and Mr Bavin (N.S.ML Premier) will confer to-night. Great pressure is being brought to hoar upon them by the tradespeople in the coal areas to settle the dispute, as it is proving ruinous to them.

The miners’ Parliamentary representatives are daily making fervent appeals to reopen the mines, as the miners’ I amities are starving. Meantime the coal owners are passively resisting, and declaring that they do not want any Government interference.
