TREATY CONFERENCE

VANCOUVER, March 20
Arrangements for a round table con to re nee on the Australian treaty early in April were completed to-day by Major E. J. Ney, of the National Council of Education and Executive Board of 'l’rade. Prominent Australian and New Zealand ’business men coming to the National Council of Education will be asked to address the Board on Ihe same day. The purpose of the meeting is an interchange of suggestions and recommendations looking tor better development of trade- facilities and a better understanding of the products of two sections of the Empire. .SERIOUS CHARGES. (Received this day at 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 27. There are nineteen charges in the bill of impeachment of Henry Long, Louisiana’s thirty-four-year-old Governor, filed to-day in the Lower House of the State Legislature. Among trio charges were attempts to “hire and induce murder, malfeasance in office, and habitual drunkenness.” CRUDE OIL OUTPUT. NEW YORK, March 27. The. Directors of the American Petroleum institute to-day approved of a plan for curtailing crude oil production to the average daily output of 1028.
