Tt is understood that the Government intends to act immediately upon the report of the suh-Committee o' Civil Research recommending the creation of a central body to purchase radium and to control its distribution, as it is desired to encourage the production of radium from Empire sources, with special reference' to the deposits existing in Australia, thus m king the Empire independent of continental supplies.
