LAVAS RECORD JAVELIN THROW. DANNEVIRKE. March 13. S. Lay. Australasian champion javelin thrower, at the Dannevirko Athletic Club's •mo-dt-ing to-day made a throw of 213 feet 27 inches, which exceeds the present record by 7 feet 3.1 inviies. The throw was made against a- light southerly wind and was measured with a steel tape by the County Engineer.
