Regarding the Daytona Beach crash, the American Automobile Association lias issued the following statement: — “The' Contest Board regrets greatly the fatal accident. It has no statement to make as to the possible cause. The Triplex driver was driving quite steadily past the official stand through the measured mile, and what hap pened occurred so quickly, and the car was so completely demolished, that no investigation could possibly determine the'real cause 'of The crash. \\'e i-’ke if that, as part of the development work iii the design of automobiles, it is inevitable that such accidents will pccasionally happen.”
Mr White said to-night: “Unwinds up my racing career. I have absolutely no further ambition.” •It appears that .Mrs Bible (wile ol the victim) witnessed the. accident, and-she shrieked.hysterically when she was brought to the spot where the body lay.
