EMPLOYMENT OF BOYS

WELLINGTON, March 14
The Labour Minister, Mr W. A. Yeitch. is circularising farmers through the Farmers’ Unions throughout the Dominion, with regard to employment oil' hoys leaving school. He mentions that employers in towns are doing their hit through apprenticeships, and as other occupations depend largely on exports of farm produce for which the market may he regarded as unlimited, he asks fanners to follow suit.
Arrangements have been made *>y which the New Zealand Farmers’ Union will co-operate with the Labour Department and Farmers’ Unions in endeavouring to secure employers for hoys desiring of employment on farms, who will he enrolled by the Labour Department. The attention of farmers is drawn to facilities for taking boys under apprenticeship contracts provided by the Master and Apprenticeship Act, 19-0.
