At Dayton Beach/ Major Segrave, the British driver, set a new world's automobile record of 231.36216 miles per hour. NEW JYORK, March 11. News from Dayton Beach, Florida, states Major Sogrnvo’s record is based upon the average of two runs on the course taking a lour mile start before entering the mile stretch, over which he ran first north and . then south, stopping between runs to repack ice in the cooling system and change all tyres find wheels. Segrave ran at the low edge of the course, several times crossing patches of water left by the tide.
