The New South Wales Rugby Union: will readily second the suggestion by New Zealand for an International Conference during the English tour of New Zealand in 1930. R. LOYAL TIMBER. WORKERS ATTACKED. - * (Received this day at 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 8. Four loyal timber workers, were attacked at Darlinghurst last night by a party of strikers. Although outnumbered the workers bravely (fought the attackers. A cowardly attempt was made to cripple one man. The striers later took to their heels. The four men were admitted to the hospital. EARTHQUAKE TREMOR, m MINES. SYDNEY, March 8. A Kalgoorlie message states a severe earth tremor passed through the mines in Kalgoorlie and Boulder. Falls of earth occurred, resulting, in two men being injured. After an .inspection of the mines all the men were removed for several days. Houses were also damaged in town.
