WELLINGTON, March 7. Following the presentation of a report by the General Secretary on the subject of licensing legislation and political action, the New Zealand Alliance re-affirmed the cardinal principle that continuance or abolition of the liquor traffic must be determined in acordance with the expressed will of a simple majority, and to renew the demand for the removal of State Control issue. Other resolutions were on lines of resolutions from time to time carried by the Alliance in relation to the time between polls, restoration, regulation and reform of the traffic etc., were also carried.
DE VALERA RELEASED. LONDON, March 6. De Valera was relased a day before expected, thus preventing friends from demonstrating. Armed police escorted him to the Free State border, and placed him on a train for Dublin.
