THE MISSING NURSE
MYSTERY OF DISAPPEARANCE STILL UNSOLVED. ARTHUR’S PASS, March 5. Mystery still surrounds the disappearance of Aliss Dorothy Hamilton Mil a Hie, the missing nurse. The police are continuing investigations. It has .been ascertained that on Feb. ruary I.6th. the date Miss M’HafFie failed to arrive at her destination, two men in a motor-car intending motoring through to Arthur’s Pass from the direction of Springfield, failed to negotiate the Waimakiriri River at the Bealev on account of the state of the river, and returned to Cass, hoarding the passenger train for Greymouth. It is understood they changed at Arthur’s Pass to the Christchurch bound train and alighted at Cass, accompanied by a lady. The party then entered the car, which had been parked alongside the railway station, and drove away towards Springfield.
