AD Di ll ETON STOCK SALE. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, March 6. There was a large entry and a good sale. Fat cattle—There was a small yarding, arid a rise in prices by 10s to 20s per head on the ,late rates. Extra heavy sorts fetched ClB l6§ to £2l 17s Od, heavy £l6 15s to £l l 10s; handy weights £l4 15s to ; £l6 15s. Cows and heifers sold: Best £l4 to £l6 2s 6d, medium £9 17s 6il to £l3 10s, light £6 5s to £9. Fat sheep.—The entry totalled 2700. Prices were on a par with late rates, iiest wethers sold to 36s 4d, prime 32s to 345,j medium 30s to 31s; light 26s to 28s 6(l'. Ewes sold: Prime 28s .to 345; medium 24s to 265; light 17s to 21s. Store sheep.—There was a large offering from the North Island and keen competition. Two-tooth ewes sold from 38s to 41s, medium 35s to 375; -“C” \gnuje ;3il.s to -(34js; four and six tooth 34s to 41s; inferior ewes 12s to 23s 6(1; wethers 22s to 265. Fat lambs—There was a small yarding. The competition was brisk, and prices were well up to the late rates. Best lambs sold from 30s to 32s 4d; medium 28s to 29s 6d; light 26s to 27s 6d. Pigs.—There was a large entry, and prices were easier. Choppers sold to £4 18s 6d, light bacon £3 to £3 10s; heavy £3 15s to £4 2s 6d; extra to £4 8s 6d. Light porkers sold from 42s to 50s, medium 525. to 56s Cd; heavy 57s to 61s.
