The Daily Express says: The City is engaged in more company flotations than at apyotime .since the war. Seven millions of new capital has been subscribed in the last two days, and eighty millions were subscribed in January and February. But for the recent rise in the bank rate, the new capital issues would have been even greater. A number of flotations have been postponed till easier monetary conditions prevail. Half ol tlie money raised is required for industrial concerns, but a number of companies have been formed to exploit new and untried inventions, the chief of these centring on issues of a speculative nature. Man}’ issues have been laige|y over subscried.
