COLLIERS STOPPING. (Australian Press Association). & SYDNEY, March 5. After completion of their present voyages, most of the colliers in the Inter-State trade will pay off. Within a week it is expected at least ten vessels, employing over three hundred men, will be idle. ARAFURA ARRIVES. BRISBANE, March 4. The Arafura towed by the Tug Forceful reached Brisbane to-day. FLOOD DROWNINGS. SYDNEY, March.s. Two more flood drowning tragedies are reported. The body of Walter King, aged thirty-five, drowned in a flooded creek .near Lismore, was recovered. John Draper, an immigrant, aged 17, was swept from a horse when attempting to cross Barwon river, Queensland. The body was found jammed under logs, which had to be blown apart with dynamite, before the body could be brought to the surface.
