The site selected for the engine nouse is near the Camp Reserve.” There was a very full house at the Princess Theatre last night for presentation of.the picture “The King oi Kings,” of sacred theme. The subject is one which has been word painted from many a pulpit, by famous artists on canvas, and described in stately story by many a writer. The oldest Story 111 Christianity, however, has a special setting in the cinematograph. Many incidents in the life of Christ have been selected from the biblical record, and these are treated reverently. The Story is unfolded in an atmosphere of magnificence, and was 'followed very closely, and only twice was a ribald- laugh to be heard. The picture will he presented again tonight, and there is so much detail in the presentation to be seen and understood. that it will not he surprising to find many making a second visit. Special music appropriate to many of the scenes is rendered by Everybody’s Orchestra during the progress of the picture, which is an unusually long one.

There was a busy scene at the railway station, . a large crowd gathering to bid the .visitors farewell. This morning the balance df the firemen left by the express, for Greymouth where a number who were paying a visit to the northern town yesterday joined the train en route for their various homes. . Advice has been received that in connection with the Naval visit to Hokitika, proposed for Friday, the special train provided by the Greymouth Harbour Board for the transport of the men, will leave Greymouth at 10 a.m. and is due to return leaving Hokitika at 0 p.m. The local committee will fix the programme'for entertainment at a meeting to-night. Arrangements have been made with a ladies’ committee to attend to the -necessary catering under which a picnic luncheon and afternoon tea will be provided. The general programme will V' > lie confined to Cass Square, but .it is hoped sufficient cars will be provided to take some of the party to Lake Kanieri and the dredge. Some arrangements may be made for a short dance at the Soldiers’ Hall. In connection with the visit the Girl Guides . and Boy Scouts are being asked to muster in uniform to assist at the reception to he accorded the visitors.
