Frank Gavau Duffy of the High Court of Australia to be K.C.M.G.; C. L. Baillieu, of Melbourne, and Dr IT. L. Cumpston, Director of General Commonwealth Wealth Department, both C.M.G. .Daniel Levy (Speaker of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly); Dr Norman Kater, M.L.C., and George Julius (Chairman of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Bureau) each K.C. JUDGE KILLED. BRISBANE. February 28. Mr Justice Stumm died yesterday as the result of an accident. While alighting from a tram the previous, night, a passing car knocked him against a stationary tram, injuring his head. Mr Justice Stumm was only sworn in two weeks ago to a vacancy on the Supreme Court bench, following the deatli of Air Justice Woolcock. A WORLD’S RECORD. SYDNEY, March 1. A new world’s record in production for a Jersey breed, was established by an eleven year cow at Wagga, “Ariadue,” of Haw?wsbury Agricultural College Stud, the production being: 16,861 A pounds of milk, equal on five per cent average test to 848.94 pounds of butter fat. FEDERAL CENSURE MOTION. CANBERRA, March 1. Mr Seiillin (Leader of the Labour Party) nave notice of the censure motion last night. The motion in effect is that the Brute-Page Government, by class legislation and partisan administration has caused a dislocation of industry, and is responsible for the crisis in the timber industry.
