An inquest into the circumstances surrounding the deittli of Raymond Blomfield, aged one year and niiiv months, who died in Southland Hospital on Monday from severe scalds, was held before a Justice of the Peace ana a jury of 'four to-day. A verdict was returned that the child died lrom shoes as the result of being accidentally scalded by slipping on the edge .of a cesspit into which boiling water was being run, with a view to clearing av obstruction. .
