CHURCH PROPERTY REPORT’. AUCKLAND, Feb. 23. A report on church property was presented to the New Zealand Methodist Conference. The total receipts were .2 It j, 325 more than in the previous year. An amount of £48,8(57 was expended on the purchase of land and for new buildings and additions to existing structuies. This was an increase of £11,561 over last year’s total. Mortgage debts increased by £14,111. - The report by the chairman of the Young People’s Board commented on the large attendances at all conferences as an expression of vitality. Tf the Church was to keep in touch with her own youth work the time had come to give more time at synods and conferences. The question was less, will the youth hive away from (he Church, than, will the Church hive away from the youth? The fire insurance showed that the assets had increased from £0398 in 1914 to £22,711 in 1928. The most important proposed changes in the first reading of stations are: The Rev. L. B. Neale from St. Albans, Christchurch, to Taranaki street, Wellington ; the Rev. Clarence Baton, Taranaki street, Wellington to St. Albans, Christchurch. Proposed transfers are: To Wanganui Circuits. Trinity. Mr Cox; to Gonville, Mr Reid; to Dublin street, Mr Olphert; to Aramoba, Mr Harrison. Additional postings on'the first reading of stations are: Wellington South, the Rev. J. H. Haslam; Hutt. the Rev. N. R. Cutry; Petone, the Rev. B. J. James.
