The transport committee ol the Federation of British Industries, at Us meeting yesterday, passed a resolution expressing the view that, the Channel tunnel scheme bad many leatures which would be df potential benefit to British industry, but that until further particulars were available it was impossible to express a definite opinion on the proposal as a whole. Tlie resolution welcomed the Government’s promise to submit the scheme to a thorough investigation.
