Bowling, « Larwood took 5 for 17, Tate 2 for 29, and Freeman 3 for 55. Following on, the Westerners in the second innings made 81, Ewers scoring 37. In the bowling Freeman took 8 for 31. The Englishmen won by an innings and 111 runs.
QUEENSLAND V. S. AUSTRALIA.
BRISBANE, Feb. 22.
In the Sheffield Shield match, South Australia won the toss and batted against Queensland. The wicket was good. South Australia in the'first innings were dismissed for 185. Harris scored 61, and Alexander 66. Oxenham took for for 3ft, off nineteen overs, Tliurlow 2 for 40. Hornibrook 2 for 48, and Nothling 1 for 21. Stumps were drawn.
