STRANGE TRAGEDY
GIRL’S NUDE BODY
(J»er Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright).
I,ON DON, February 22
Frozen to the ground, the unclothed body of a girl was found in an isolated field at Titsey, on the border of Kent and Surrey. ' Her garments were scattered in the vicinity. Her description was broadcast, and this led to the identification of the body as that oi Annie Pauline Goldsmith, aged 23 years, of West Croydon.
Scotland Yard was called in. At first it was thought to he a case of murder, but there is an alternative theory that the girl was the victim of religious dementia, and that she herself scattered her clothing in the field, and, becoming exhausted, died trmn exposure and shock. A badge and a card hearing texts were found in her clothing.
