It lias been, announced that the Commonwealth Government has decided to organise and equip an expedition to the Antarctic led hv Sir Douglas Mawson. The exjrn ilion wll be leaving at. the end of ibis year.
FOR. ANTARCTIC. SYDNEY, February 22
Mr Bruce slated the New Zealand Government had been invited to cooperate in the expedition. Me earnestly hoped they would do so by providing representatives in the scientific personnel. The expedition would cost £IO.OOO. The New Zealand Government had offered to contribute £2,500.
